Snow becomes the world. It is gentle and fearsome, gliding delicately toward the trees, streams, and us. We watch intently, as it melts on our skin. The storm pours the white out slowly, then more quickly like an uncountable flock of birds piling upon us. The cold has yet to settle around us, but the land we can see is nothing but a horizon line.
